FAQ

Some Q. & Answers

01.

What is the company’s background?

Expert is in our name not because we are boastful, but due to John (Johnny) Lamoureux’s 18 years of hands on experience throughout the Midwest. From patios and grain bins to bridge approaches and warehouse floors exceeding 30,000 square feet, Johnny has expertise in mudjacking, sandjacking, and polyjacking. The Midwest climate and resulting challenges require an honest and forward-looking approach to concrete needs. The secret is more than just the polyurethane foam, it’s our honesty and accountability. It’s about quality – and concrete raising doesn’t need to be a burden or hassle.
02.

How long is the raised concrete warranty and what does it cover?

Expert Concrete Raising will offer up to a 5 year warranty on select projects. The warranty will cover any settling of 1/2 inch or greater.
03.

Do I have to be home when the repair is completed and how long will it take?

The scope of work will dictate onsite needs and timeline. However, most repairs only take a few hours and if outside, generally do not require the customer to be present. If the work requested is for the interior portion of a building or home, we request that the customer be present. Our goal is to ensure both the Expert Concrete Raising team and customer are comfortable with work being performed, and we will discuss onsite needs directly during the initial assessment.
04.

Will the process leave holes in my current concrete, crack, and/or impact landscaping?

There will be 3/8″ holes drilled into the surface of existing concrete; much different from the 1 1/2″ holes that are created during mudjacking. Due to several unknown conditions beneath concrete and factors that may have come into play during original concrete installation, cracks may occur. Any cracks that do appear during the lifting process will be repaired with a sealant at no charge. Concrete lifting with polyurethane foam is a non-intrusive process with minimal impact to landscaping. It is also non-toxic and environmentally safe once fully cured.
05.

What type of payment types do you accept and when is it due?

Expert Concrete Raising will accept cash, check, and/or credit card (i.e. American Express, Visa, Mastercard, or Discover). Payment is due upon receipt of services, before formally signing off on work completed. Expert Concrete Raising will provide a receipt for all services and any applicable warranty information. A processing fee will be passed through for all credit card transactions.
